BEHAVIORAL HEALTH THERAPIST

Foundations Behavioral Health Services is a community-based behavioral health center serving Mercer County and surrounding areas. Established in 1975, Foundations has been providing professional counseling and support services to local residents for over 40 years. In 2012, the former Gateway Outreach Center merged with Foundations Behavioral Health, allowing us to offer a wide range of mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
The behavioral health therapist will provide assessment, counseling, crisis intervention and case management services to both children/adolescent and adult clients with substance use & behavioral health disorders. Duties will include assessment, crisis intervention, treatment planning, individual and family counseling, as well as referrals to other services. Services will be primarily provided as our outpatient agency location as well as at the Mercer County Jail (specific hours to be determined upon hire.)
This is a full-time position with work hours generally being day time hours, Monday through Friday, with one evening a week required for clients. A flexible schedule is needed in order to meet the needs of the clients and the agency.
Minimum of an LPC or LSW license required with the Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board. Prefer Ohio independent license, LISW, LPCC, LICDC, Licensed Psychologist, along with experience providing counseling services to various client populations with diverse problem areas.
Starting salary is $35,000 – $50,000 annually, depending on education, license and experience.
